Slipping through my fingers…

Sometimes I wish that I could freeze the picture
And save it from the funny tricks of time
Slipping through my fingers…
Slipping through my fingers all the time

Time is such a stubborn variable. While it might seem easy, when watching science fiction movies, such as Star Trek or Back to the Future, rewinding the clock to undo something you did or to sweep out into the future to change the world, is something that is still impossible!

Or to just freeze your memories, so years from now they are as fresh in your mind like yesterday?

Isn’t that why we cling to photographs, videos and anything else that can help us remember simple things that we forget?

Time they say heals everything. This is primarily because, with the advancement of time, the mind forgets details, or we have moved on to other things, so the mind is preoccupied with new issues, to be still worrying about old problems.

So also, we forget details of exciting things we accomplish and want to retain in our memory. Writing down details after each event is something I have always found useful to capture those memories. That I love to write is an added incentive. The world of blogging has allowed me to share these memories with other like-minded pilots and aviation enthusiasts.  It enables me to  jot down all the exciting thoughts that race through my mind after a fun-filled flight,  as well as,  for posterity when I can revisit, remember, and enjoy all over again the fun and joy, of my flying adventures!

If you have enjoyed reading about my adventures, drop me a line. I love to hear from you 🙂

I’ve the pleasure of reading your blog and as a fellow pilot coming from a similar background I find it both fascinating and nostalgic. And it has inspired me to reach my logbook goals viz. wrapping up Commercial License, visiting Bahamas and the Caribbean and fly to OSH next year. Although I have been flying over 100hrs every year with Civil Air Patrol, Angel Flights and Young Eagles and have enjoyed the quirks and the beauty of flying different airframes with CAP and local flying clubs over the past decade or so, somewhere inside I want to own my our aircraft soon.

Always looking forward to your next post…..!!
