Homecoming Flyin’ at AOPA Headquarters was this weekend.

Saturday started out rainy and cold. It soon cleared up, but was still windy and cold. The first real fall weather day!

Arrivals continued on till almost 2:30 pm.

It was still a gorgeous day to hang out, checkout the static displays, listen to the seminars, time permitting.

This was my first volunteering attempt at an official AOPA event. And it was terrific!

I likely even directed Matt Guthmiller ( in his Bonanza)…MIT Grad, Guinness Record Holder, and youngest person to fly solo around the world, to park his Bonanza!

With a chance to photograph the B17 up close and personal as it took it’s riders along for a joy ride…

All in all, a fantastic day for Homecomin’!
